Reproductive Toxicity of Chemicals Against

Reproductive toxicity includes adverse effects on sexual function and fertility in both men and women and the effects that interfere with normal development both before and after birth (or toxicity).

Physiology of the reproductive organs of men and women differently, but the system is controlled in both sexes by a chemical called hormones. Hormones are chemicals secreted by glands in the body’s cells and the control of other body parts. Hormones is controlled by the central nervous system (CNS).

In men, the hormone regulates the development of the reproductive organs and the formation of sperm (spermatogenesis). In women, hormones control the reproductive cycle of the female reproductive organs, the uterus ready for pregnancy and lactation. Hormones play an important role in pregnancy and fetal development.
